We are Frog and Scot, a French bistro serving classic and modern dishes, bringing the taste of France to the beautiful coastal town of Deal.
We are Benoit and Sarah, a French and Scottish couple, living by the sea in Kent with our young family.
Building on the success of our wine shop and bar ‘Le Pinardier’ which is located a few doors along from the bistro, we are very excited about our latest venture, Frog and Scot.
With a light and airy yet elegant feel with wooden floors, panelled walls, casual tables and chairs, plus our beautiful bar area, where diners are welcome to sit and eat.
As well as some classics, French onion soup, steak frites and chicken liver pâté to name a few, we are constantly updating our menu and are proud to offer a wide variety of locally sourced and seasonal meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and cheese.
Benoit has been in the both the restaurant business and wine trade for over 10 years, having worked in France and the UK. His vast knowledge of wine is reflected in the extensive wine menu that Frog and Scot offer.
David Hart has previously worked at the 2 Michelin starred The Square in Mayfair, The Sportsman in Seasalter and The FitzWalter Arms in Goodnestone. Coincidentally, David Gadd was trained by David Hart during their time at The FitzWalter Arms, he also went on to work at The Sportsman for the past six years. We are thrilled to have them reunited in our kitchen at Frog and Scot.
